The Burns flats community continue to report regular issues with violence, drugs supply and cuckooing. These issues represent real risk to the neighbourhood so patrols and plain clothes operations will take place.

Alongside our partners at Leicester City Council we are currently supporting a Victim of a serious sexual assault. Safeguarding measures have been put in place to protect them from further harm.
We are also investigating Criminal Damage to to the fencing outside the Burns flats with positive action being taken against the perpetrator.

Residents in Bonney Road have reported numerous instances of youths carrying weapons attending the location and making threats. The Youths often attend on Motorcycles and drive in a dangerous manner putting residents at risk of serious harm.

Further breaches of the Acceptable Behaviour Contact have occurred during August and this will be dealt with during our review with Leicester City Council in early September.
The offender in question was arrest on the 16th August 2025
in a vehicle that had been stolen from Bonney Road.
A stolen motorcycle was also recovered just off Bonney Road on Stokeswood park.

Reports of vehicles being used dangerously on Western Ward continue to be received with residents concerned that death or serious injury is likely to occur. Speeding, E-bikes and motorcycles being used on Green spaces have all been reported.

Op Pedalfast has taken place on Aikman Avenue in August resulting in a number of Electric vehicles being seized. Further operations are planned.
Additionally following our recent request the Yellow Zigzag marking outside our schools have been repainted ready for enforcement now that schools have returned from their Summer break.
