Current Priorities
Issue
Beach safety and anti-social behaviour - throughout the summer we will be running Operation Beachsafe on weekends and weekdays when the weather means more people than normal will be visiting the beach. Additional officers will be deployed to the coastline area, including specially trained officers on quad bikes and off-road vehicles.to deal with increases in anti-social behaviour and the dangerous use of off-road bikes.
Issue
Anti-social behaviour - over the summer some areas have previously seen a significant rise in anti-social behaviour so to deter this officers will be patrolling hot spot locations and surrounding areas including Portland Street Park, Southport, Sandbrook Road in Ainsdale, Crossens Community Centre, and Botanic Gardens in Southport.
Issue
Serious violence – We aim to reduce incidents of serious violence whether that be related to the coastal areas, parks and open spaces or the night-time economy in Southport. so that residents and visitors to feel safer.
