Current Priorities

Issue

Violent Crime remains one of the three ward priorities for Q3. Between the period Mar - May 25 there were 8 incidents involving the use of violence, 2 with injury incidents, 6 without injury incidents which represents a 38% decrease comparative to the previous quarter.

Action

Harrow Weald NPT officers' priority remains high visibility patrols along primary footfall areas of the High Road A409, Boxtree Park and in/around the supermarkets and bus garage. Analysis of crime data shows that these areas are most likely to experience instances of violent crime.

Issue

Drug related crime remains a priority for Harrow Weald for Q3. There have been 3 instances of reported drug possession in Harrow Weald in Q2 Mar-May 25. All of which were as a result of proactive policing/stop and search. There were a further four incidents relating to the importation of drugs by UK Border Force.

Action

Harrow Weald NPT's priority remains proactive policing in known drug use areas such as Park Crescent/Park Rise and Hutton Lane.

Officers continue to build a broader intelligence picture of key individuals involved in drug supply across the ward with a view to specifically targeting these individuals through a combination of direct stops and warrants under Section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act.

Issue

Burglary remains a priority for Harrow Weald for Q3. There were 11 instances of burglary across Harrow Weald for Q2 Mar-May 25 which represents a 31% decrease comparative to figures for Q1.

Action

Regarding burglaries, officers continue to conduct proactive patrols to deter offenders and, when incidents of burglary do occur, assist detectives in their ongoing investigations to help locate and apprehend those responsible.
