Current Priorities

Issue

Drug use and drug related violence remains low in Hatch End. The teams PC's and PCSO's operate a zero tolerance approach to all controlled substances however, offences are extremely low along with those reported to the team by the public.

Action

Hatch End officers are to remain proactive in their patrols of known drug use spots such as Chantry Lane, Grymsdyke Car Park and Rowlands Avenue.

Multiple community patrols held weekly across the ward.

Patrols of Hatch End High Street, local transport hubs and licensed premises to ensure holders are working in line with legislation.

Recent positive detections for drug possession offences in the vicinity of Chantry Road following proactive operations by ward officers.

Issue

Burglary remains one of the three key areas to focus on as set at the 15/07/25 ward panel meeting.

Action

The priority for the Hatch End Neighbourhood team remains engagement by way of regular crime prevention initiatives and street briefings with residents. Burglaries are extremely low across the ward.

Motor Vehicle Crime including theft
and theft from.

Action

Your local team are aware of vulnerable areas across the ward which at times lends itself to motor vehicle crime including theft of, and theft from motor vehicles. Recent patrols have ensured that several stolen vehicles have been returned to their rightful owners, with several individuals being arrested for theft and handling stolen goods.
