Current Priorities
Issue
Violence Related Priority - Concerns were raised by the community about Robbery and theft snatch offences at Seven Sisters Underground Station and the surrounding area. In response to this officers will perform a number of targeted patrols over the next three months, specifically but not exclusively at the Underground Station and High Road where the concentration of offences have occurred. This priority was retained by the ward panel on the 6th September.
Action
A number of proactive operations have already been completed by the ward team including a knife arch and passive drugs dog operation within Seven Sisters underground Station resulting in a number of detections for drugs offences and arrests of wanted offenders and of those of interest to immigration authorities. Live Facial Recognition (LFR) Cameras have been employed on Tottenham High Road again producing a significant number of arrests for various offences. These operations will continue with the most recent deployment of a drugs dog leading to 68 stop and searches and multiple arrests for various offences including drugs possession and supply. Operation Martello High visibility patrols will continue at the location to ensure a visible presence and reassure the public. The ward team will continue to find innovative ways to tackle this problem over the coming months. We always ask the public to report any incidents or concerns and remember to "Look up, Look out", keep your phone out of sight and be vigilant of your surroundings when exiting the tube station.High visibility patrols will continue at the location to ensure a visible presence and reassure the public.
