Issue

Combatting Violence Against Women and Girls – Intelligence led local policing and partnership working with Camden Council and other partners to increase patrols around the affected area's.

Action

Increasing patrols in the hot spot crime area's.
Working with local partners to deliver education to residents and visitors to the ward in relation to VAWG crime prevention.
The team regularly conduct crime prevention events at various locations around the ward

Issue

Ward team to regularly patrol high volume ASB complaint locations like parks and open spaces. The team will work with Camden Community Protection Officers to identify and intervene in ASB using Central North’s Early Intervention Scheme. The team will also work with Street Population agencies and charities to divert vulnerable people to appropriate channels to avoid criminal activity.

Action

The ward team regularly patrol with council community safety officers in the areas most effected on the ward by anti-social behaviour to gather intelligence and to deter activity.
Identifying addresses linked to "Cuckooing" is a form of criminal exploitation where individuals, often involved in county lines drug operations, take over a vulnerable person's home to use it as a base for their activities. Working with housing to combat issues at these locations.
The team have been conducting warrants and there has been a recent arrests believed to be involved with drug supply.

Issue

The Met Police is prioritizing shoplifting in 2025 with a focus on tackling repeat offenders.

Action

The local police team is prioritising shoplifting, with a focus on arresting and fining the offenders and engaging with shop staff and security. This proactive approach aims to reduce shoplifting and support the local retailers. This involves increased high-visibility patrols, covert operations, and collaboration with businesses. They are also using data analysis to identify hotspots and employing measures like Criminal Behaviour Orders to address repeat offenders.
