Current Priorities

Issue

Violence against women and girls.

Protecting women and girls from violence is a top priority. Everyone has the right to feel safe, whether at home, work, or out in the community.

Action

Working in partnership with local authority and community to reduce, prevent, detect and deter incidents and impact of VAWG on women and girls in Eastbury .
Team will be conducting a range of deployments and activities, including engagements and events to reduce and prevent incidents linked to VAWG. A intelligence led and problem solving approach to those committing offences will see continued partnership and joint working with local authority and key agencies, and third sector to design out and target high harm offenders including use of technology linked to Live Facial Recognition pre planned operations . A mixture of enforcement and engagement work will continue, seeing further referrals into Community MARAC multi agency pathway, and to utilise other tactics linked to Community Protection and Criminal Behaviour Orders as and where able.

Anti Social Behavour linked to Drugs Dealing and offending in John Burns Drive

Action

Working in partnership with local authority and community to reduce, prevent, detect and deter incidents and impact of ASB in Eastbury . Team will be conducting a range of deployments and activities, including engagements and events to reduce and prevent incidents linked to ASB. A intelligence led and problem solving approach to those committing offences will see continued partnership and joint working with local authority and key agencies, and third sector to design out and target high harm offenders including utilising closure orders, criminal behaviour orders and community protection toolkit as and where proportionate and necessary to do so. Further referrals into managing offenders committing ASB will continue into the Community MARAC multi agency pathways.
Consideration also in the use of Dispersal Orders will also continue to be an effective tool in managing those intent on committing repeat and or high harm incidents of ASB linked to drug dealing or other of note.
Where PSPO powers are able to be utilised consideration of using this power will also be actioned in address the issues around ASB overall.

increased levels of robbery at Gale Street

Action

To utilise a range of engagement and enforcmeent tactics including partnershp working and proactivity in managing and targeting those offenders known or intent on committing offences. To utilise community protection toolkit in duality whree proportionate and reasonable to do so with offenders. To continue to work with design out crime officer and utlising funding streams to improve and enhance patrols and visibility in key hot spots of note. To work in partnership in problem solving incidents of robbery in Gales street .
