Current Priorities
Issue
Continue to prioritise Operation Focus patrols in areas identified for anti-social behaviour and serious violence.
Action
To address this priority, we are/have:
- Carrying out daily high visibility foot patrols across the city, focusing on our hotspot areas which see more anti-social behaviour – this includes Hayhill, Market Place, Prince of Wales Rd, Riverside and Jenny Lind Park.
- Conducted positive stop searches
- Numerous warnings have been given for begging alongside Community Protection Warnings.
- Section 35 dispersal orders issued to people causing anti-social behaviour
- Working with local businesses and partners to understand issues in the hotspot areas and continue partnership working.
We encourage you to report any anti-social behaviour by reporting on the Norfolk Police website.
