Current Priorities
Issue
Crime and Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) in our communities
Action
We directly assist Bangor Response Officers to identify and tackle crime in the community (ranging from domestic violence to illegal drug-supply) to dealing directly with matters of ASB that negatively impacts upon individuals and communities alike. GN-NPT officers take ownership of ASB in all its various forms, resulting in thorough investigations and utilising current legislation (such as Closure Orders, powers afforded by the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.) to prosecute offenders.
Issue
Local neighbourhood Policing presence
Action
We understand that our local communities want to see officers in uniform patrolling the streets and engaging with members of the public of all ages. This tried and tested, traditional Policing model enables our team of dedicated officers to get to get to know the communities we serve and build a strong relationship and trust with our communities; also of course, there’s no better way to prevent crime than having our officers’ "boots on the ground" patrolling every nook and cranny to prevent crime.
Issue
Community Engagement
Action
If it’s happening in our communities, we want to know about it, and be part of it! We are fully aware that we’re in a fortunate position to be able to work closely with the communities that we serve, to make those communities safer for all residents by demonstrating ownership for our policing areas to prevent crime in its many guises. GN-NPT are proud to engage with schools, youth clubs, at sporting events and festivals and Eisteddfods, and indeed all aspects of community life. If event organisers can organise it, then GN-NPT can be there to support it!
