Vehicle crime increasing around Great Park

Action

We continue to see vehicle crime around the Gosforth and Great Park area, particularly theft from unattended motor vehicles. Due to the nature of the timings of these crimes, we have increased plain clothes patrols around the times we know these are being committed and we are actively targeting those offenders we believe are responsible.

Anti-social behaviour around Regent Centre Metro

Action

The neighbourhood team have partnered with both Metro staff and staff from nearby schools to perform directed patrols in the vicinity of the metro station. We have utilised a knife arch in order to target and stop search offenders. The area remains a focus of our daily patrols.

Action

The neighbourhood policing team have been targeting known offenders and supporting repeat victims of crime to safeguard them from further harm. Repeat locations have been offered crime prevention advice.
