Current Priorities
Issue
1 – Burglary
2 – Shop Theft
3 – Drug Supply & associated ASB
To run from April to June 2025
Action
1. Burglary; Rushcliffe has seen an increase in the reporting of Burglary in early 2025. Update June 2025 - Numerous arrests, patrol plans, and target hardening initiatives have led to a significant decrease in the reports of dwelling burglaries in Rushcliffe since April 2025. These efforts will continue, with further arrests planned.
2. Shop Theft; Whilst numbers were low over late 2024, there has been an increase in reporting of shop thefts in the early part of 2025. Update June 2025 - several prolific offenders have been charged, remanded, and imprisoned in the last 3 months which has led to a decrease in shop theft since April. Further high vis patrols and operations will continue, along with monitoring and preventative working with offenders recently released from prison.
3. Drug supply and associated ASB; Whilst the first quarter saw a large amount of drug enforcement activity, local patrols in park areas and areas of high foot fall have been more prevalent since April 2025, however we continually monitor and review intelligence which has led to further search warrants being conducted in Rushcliffe too.
