Current Priorities

Issue

Doncaster North contains a number of mapped Organised crime groups linked to cross border criminality. The groups operate within our communities and are responsible to serious acquisitive crime and drug related activity that affects the community of all ages.
To put into place action following analytical support to target the right people at the right time.

Action

Doncaster North NPT will continue its relentless targeted activity relating to OCGs. Protecting children in the community at risk of exploitation and using its links to a wider partnership to take enforcement action at every opportunity. Often partner agencies can take enforcement action where priorities and issues cross over and we will continue to pursue joint action at every opportunity.

In August 2025 a commitment was made to carry out joint work with trading standards , Council enforcement, immigration services and modern slavery teams. This will look to tackle people smuggling, illegal working and money laundering businesses

Issue

Police and partners receive community intelligence and complaints that individual properties and those living in them are causing high levels of ASB in and around their properties.
Police should increase the use of community protection notices and warnings to deal with such issues at an early stage.

Action

SYP have issues several closure warning notices to properties throughout the North area. If the ASB or criminal behavior continues we will continue to apply to the courts for a full closure. This will mean the property cannot be used for a period of three months. Police continue to use Community protection notices and warning issued to those we know are continuing to commit ASB in the area.

Doncaster North NPT have significantly increased the use of Community protection notices and criminal behaviour orders to tackle persistent ASB and criminality.

We continue to look at all current legislation to deal with issues of ASB and crime at an early stage.

Issue

Community engagement and information sharing is vital to both share information and police action. Also to establish what different communities expect the Police to prioritise.
The community feels there is a lack of feedback to them on how the Police are dealing with issues or at least the activity around them.

Action

Target hard to reach communities through various channels.
Social media, community centres, shopping centres, pop up stalls, drop in sessions working in partnership with the local authority.
Create bespoke newsletter for the area policing team and also use media more to update on positive results or patrol activity

Issue

Motorcycle thefts and the resulting ASB from the illegal use has been identified as an issue across the North. Doncaster has seen and increase in motorcyles being stolen and then subsequently used to travel on the road network as well as off road. The bikes are ridden in an anti-social and sometimes dangerous manner

Action

Dedicate an officer to co-ordinate a District wide response. Create an intelligence collection plan, encourage community reporting and then follow up on information swifty. Operation spoke alpha has been created to tackle this issue. A number of community protection warnings and notices have been served and will be served. Planned activity will also involved Warrants related to the issue and arrests.
