Off-road bikes, electric bikes and vehicles driving in an antisocial manner in and around High Street, Barnsley Road and Doncaster Road, Goldthorpe.

This is an ongoing problem across the country, not just within Goldthorpe. That said, in the last 2 months alone, your local NPT have seized 19 vehicles from the roads. Many of the drivers/riders have faced prosecution and we continue to plan days of action alongside our Roads Policing Department and Motorcycle and Rural Crime Team

Off-road motorbikes and quads are being ridden on the grasslands between Bolton on Dearne and Manvers. This presents a danger to not only the riders, but members of the public using this area for recreational purposes.

Whilst the last 12 months have seen a dramatic decrease in burglary offences within this area, to the point of where Dearne North was no longer in the top 10 areas in South Yorkshire, there has been a recent increase in this type of offence.

We are currently working with our analysts to identify patters and potential suspects for these offences and will create a Problem Solving Package to address this in the longer term. In the interim, we are increasing patrols in the area and targeting known offenders, whilst also visiting sites known for the disposal of stolen property.
Last month saw a reduction of 75% from the month before.
