Members of the community have raised concerns around drug misuse, street drinking and anti-social use of vehicles. These involve persons gathered on street corners drinking alcohol, drug misuse and anti-social use of vehicles such as e-scooters and motorbikes.

On 14th July 2025 a targeted operation took place in the immediate area which saw a number of partnership agencies coming together to take action. A number of visits to premises were made and items seized, two arrests were conducted and a number of vehicle enforcement actions were made by dedicated traffic officers. More operations like this are planned.

Officers will focus on these concerns over the next three months by actively addressing behaviours that cause harm, distress, or disruption to residents and businesses. This includes visible drug misuse, alcohol consumption in public areas, intimidation, noise nuisance, and disorderly conduct. Our approach combines high-visibility policing, targeted enforcement, and community engagement to create safer, more respectful environments.
