Lichfield is a historic city renowned throughout the world for its amazing three-spired cathedral.

Despite the best efforts of Oliver Cromwell’s army, the cathedral has survived down the centuries and every year welcomes thousands of visitors.

The area is steeped in history - along with the cathedral, are St Mary’s Church; the childhood home of Dr Samuel Johnson who was born in the city in 1709, and the home of Erasmus Darwin, grandfather of Charles Darwin - all now museums.

The city centre is a vibrant area for shopping, nightlife, leisure and sightseeing.
