Waterhouses covers around 100 square miles of Peak National Park and is at the northern tip of Staffordshire, bordering Derbyshire to the east and Cheshire to the west.

Home to more than 20 rural villages, it also includes the picturesque and popular tourist areas of Dovedale and the Manifold Valley.

Issue

Rural crime, particularly affecting the farming community.

Action

We have secured funding through the Community Safety Partnership to support local farmers to forensically mark agricultural equipment to deter thieves and reduce rural crime in the area. Forensic marking kits have arrived and local officers will be offering kits to local farmers in the coming weeks.
We are visiting local farms offering Smartwater forensic marking to agricultural equipment to protect and reduce rural crime

Issue

Road safety and speeding.

Action

We are working with the Safer Roads Partnership and our roads policing unit to deploy in the area to support our neighbourhood officers and tackle concerns.
