These two villages are near the border of Wolverhampton. Both have expanded largely since the Second World War, boosted by job opportunities in the West Midlands.

It is thought that Bilbrook got its name from the Roman word for watercress - 'bil' - that grew in the local brook until recent times.

Current Priorities

Issue

Preventing and disrupting Drugs offences is a priority for our local officers.

Action

Local officers are targeting drug dealers, including the harms associated with the exploitation of vulnerable people and County Lines drug dealing. By actively developing community intelligence and conducting overt policing activity.

Issue

Tackling anti-social behaviour (ASB), in particular the anti-social use of vehicles.

Action

Officers are working closely with local business owners and Community Safety Partnership teams to ensure open spaces are a safe environment. Our teams provide a number of initiatives including intervention work to ensure those committing ASB are diverted to positive activities.
