Penkridge is a conservation area in the heart of rural Staffordshire which gave inspiration to JRR Tolkien while writing The Lord of the Rings. Once known as the capital of England, the area has a population of over 8,000 and is home to Rodbaston Agricultural College. It has a strong village feel and community focus.

With a unique blend of old and new housing, Huntington borders Cannock Chase.

Local police also cover Acton Trussell, Calf Heath, Coppenhall, Dunston, Hatherton, Gailey, Levedale, Mitton, Rodbaston and Teddesley Park.

Current Priorities

Issue

Continuing issues of anti-social behaviour (ASB), specifically off-road bikes in the Shoal Hill area of Huntington.

Action

Local officers are tackling anti-social behaviour by adopting a problem-solving approach to vulnerable locations. We are working in collaboration with a range of partners to get to the root of problems and solve them for the long-term. These operations and high visibility patrols will take place specifically but not exclusively in Huntington where more frequent issues have been highlighted.
