Protection of persons vulnerable to exploitation/victim of violent crime related behaviours - Working with partners, and making use of police powers to protect those identified as vulnerable/victims to violence

1.Visiting local top up shops and groups with vulnerable persons, building trust within the local community to help support them. Building trust and encouraging the local community to report crimes. Working with the local housing officers (IBC) to identify those tenants vulnerable of cuckooing. Placing closure orders on address’s found to be taken over by drug dealers and protecting tenants.

Retail Crime – Identify our top repeat targeted retail premises, working with partners in designing out crime and prevent offences. Identify and pursue our persistent offenders, making best use of prevention orders

Patrolling shops that have been targeted, visiting the shops and speaking with managers and staff. Reviewing CCTV and working with shop security to try and deter regular offenders. Considering CBO’s and using courts to enforce injunctions already in place.

Vehicle and street related ASB – Working with partner agencies and making use of police powers in order to protect the community against the effects of Anti-social behaviours both from vehicles and on the street

Mobile and foot patrols. Roads most complained about have been targeted by use of the police speed cameras. Social media inputs as well as inputs to primary aged children about e-scooters and motocross bikes. Working with local councils.
