Our team are committed to tackling retail crime and making the town centre safer for everyone. Retail crime impacts many people in various ways which retail workers being subject to aggression or abuse from offenders.
We have regular visible patrols in the town centre, we conduct police operations to target offenders using a variety of tactics including officers in plain clothes.
We are working with retail outlets that have been disproportionately targeted by offenders to prevent further offences.

Anti-Social Behaviour within The Atrium

Local officers continue to work with our partners to target ASB within The Atrium. We take positive action with managing any person identified who has caused anti-social behaviour by utilising the ASB legislation robustly.
