Issue
Anti-Social Behaviour with persons excessively drinking alcohol within The Parade
Action
In response to this we have been enforcing the Public Space Protection Order with persons who have come to our attention during our patrols. We continue to use the ASB legislation robustly as part of our response targeting this type of anti-social behaviour.
Issue
Retail outlets selling vapes to children and selling counterfeit vapes.
Action
We continue to work with local schools, partner agencies including Trading Standards to target retail outlets who supply the community including children with dangerous and harmful vape products. We have conducted operations which has led to arrests of those involved.
Issue
Retail Shoplifting and Assaults towards Retail Workers - Offenders targeting retail shops within the ward for thefts.
Action
Our team are committed to tackling retail crime and making the borough safer for everyone. Retail crime impacts many people in various ways which retail workers being subject to aggression or abuse from offenders.
We have regular visible patrols in the borough, we conduct police operations to target offenders using a variety of tactics including officers in plain clothes.
We are working with retail outlets that have been disproportionately targeted by offenders to prevent further offences.
Issue
Anti-Social Behaviour within Weller Drive, Camberley. Issues reported include disturbances within the street, reports of drug dealing and drug use.
Action
We continue to work with local partner agencies which include housing association and the local authority. This has resulted in increased police patrols, arrests for drug offences and we continue to robustly use ASB legislation.
