Waverley has been identified as a force hotspot for Fraud and Rogue offender offences.

Statistically it is more likely a person aged 70 and above, and predominantly living on their own, are more likely than most to fall victim to rogue trading or scams.

Local officers visit all vulnerable victims fraud to ensure they are supported and offer crime prevention advice.

Reports of retail crime have been increasing nationally.
Surrey Police have prioritised retail crime and has seen a significant increase in the number of offenders identified arrested and charged for offences.

Local officers complete regular patrols liaising with retailers and encouraging reporting of offences.
We work closely with neighbouring forces to identify suspects and take positive action to bring them to justice.

In April this year we ran a week long operation targeting organised shoplifters resulting in a number of arrests.
