Current Priorities

Issue

Burglary

Helping to keep your property safe, from houses, to outbuildings, vehicles, garages and privately owned properties.

Acting swiftly when spates of burglaries are highlighted by communities, in responding to reports of burglary, conducting investigations, offering support and crime prevention tools to victims affected, and identifying those involved.

Action

Following recent community meetings, residents have raised concerns with an increase of residential burglaries.

In response officers for Ratton continue to commit to patrols at peak reported times in your area, for July and August officers have conducted a number of patrols and leaflet drops around burglary, offering residents in the area advice and support on keeping their property safe, as well as acting as a deterrent and looking to identify those involved, whilst continuing investigations into reported burglaries in the area to help positively identify individuals involved.

Issue

Anti-social behaviour (ASB)

Swiftly responding to incidents of ASB and effectively using policing powers available to intervene - including powers of dispersal where the actions of individuals or groups impact their wider surroundings; which can lead to wider harm, including the misuse of public spaces or local parks, criminal damage or vandalism, for example graffiti or damage to public buildings.

Working with partners and youth organisations, including schools and colleges to identify opportunities for early intervention with individuals at risk of causing ASB.

Action

Officers continue to receive reports of ASB associated with ASB driving, including excess speeding, use of EScooters in public places, and loud of noisy vehicles in your area.

In response to your concerns officers for Ratton have committed to additional patrols of your area throughout the summer months, and this commitment will continue in the Autumn with a number of planned local activities, including targeted action to address EScooters, with officers using both educational and enforcement powers including that of seizure to help reduce ASB driving and ASB in your area.
