Action
Reducing public place violent crime including VAWG and youth related crime and disorder keeping all communities safe from violence.
Continuing our work alongside partners and support agencies for victims of violent crime, including domestic abuse and VAWG, and to continue raising awareness of support channels advice, and reporting services available to all victims.
In swiftly responding to incidents of public based violence, and using policing powers available, from powers of dispersal, to criminal behaviour orders to crackdown on offending.

Action
Our yearly campaign to address community concerns around road and driving related offences that fall into the fatal 5 driving offences.
Including targeted patrols, education and enforcement activities across the district throughout the Summer months, focused on targeting excess speed, distracted driving, as well as drink/drug driving.
Continued work with partners, local authorities, including volunteer Community Speed Watch Groups to support activities and keep the roads of your towns and villages safe for all road users.

Eastbourne 999 Weekend
Join us at this year's Eastbourne 999 Weekend
The 999 Weekend will take place next month, on Saturday 12th July and Sunday 13th of July between 1000 (Sat) 1100 (Sun) - 1700.
Organised by Sussex Police, East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service, South East Coast Ambulance Service, Maritime and Coastguard Agency, RNLI and supported by your Eastbourne Borough Council; the event has become a favourite in the local calendar and gives the opportunity for visitors to meet members of their local emergency services and get an up-close look at some of the 999 response vehicles used across Sussex.
