Current Priorities

Issue

Public Place Violence

Action

We have significantly increased high-visibility patrols, particularly during late evenings and night-time economy hours, to deter violent behaviour and respond swiftly to any emerging incidents. Our officers also maintain a strong daytime presence to prevent disorder and provide visible reassurance to the public.
Through proactive policing, we have taken robust action against those involved in violent disorder. Arrests have been made where offences have occurred, and we continue to use the full range of policing powers available, including dispersal orders and Criminal Behaviour Orders, to disrupt offending and prevent further harm.
We are working closely with partner agencies to raise awareness of available support channels, reporting mechanisms, and safety advice remains central to our approach.
Our strategy is rooted in prevention, early intervention, and firm enforcement.

Issue

Drug related harm

Action

We continue to take robust action against drug-related crime through regular patrols, intelligence-led operations, and targeted enforcement. Arrests are being made as part of our ongoing efforts to disrupt supply chains and hold offenders accountable.

Alongside enforcement, we’re working closely with partner agencies to reduce harm, support vulnerable individuals, and raise awareness of available support services. Our focus remains on prevention, safeguarding, and protecting the community from the impact of drug-related activity.

Issue

Vehicle offences / Anti-social driving

Action

Proactive patrols will continue, with continued work within the community to identify and target individuals responsible for anti-social driving in the area.
We remain committed to tackling this issue head-on. Drivers who put others at risk will continue to be dealt with robustly.
