Current Priorities

Issue

Drug-Related Harm

Action

We’re actively working to reduce drug related activity through enhanced patrols, focused police operations, community intelligence and targeting known hotspots for drug use and dealing.

We will continue working closely with partners to address the impact of drug-related harm in your local neighbourhood.

This joint approach allows us to take meaningful action, supporting those affected, disrupting criminal activity, and improving safety.

Issue

Speeding / Anti-social driving

Action

We are actively addressing concerns around speeding and anti-social driving through a combination of enforcement and intelligence-led policing.
We are regularly conducting proactive road checks in key locations and with the recent introduction of a new speed indication device, we are now equipped to monitor vehicle speeds in separate location and take appropriate action against those exceeding limits.

In addition, we are using information received through the public and Operation Crackdown to identify and target individuals involved in anti-social driving. This intelligence allows us to focus our efforts where they are most needed and take enforcement action such as section 59 warnings or seizing vehicles where necessary.

Issue

Anti-social behaviour

Action

We are increasing patrols to address this issue in the areas that are predominantly affected. We are engaging directly with those involved to raise awareness of the impact their behaviour is having on the wider community.

Through positive engagement and visible policing, we aim to reduce anti-social behaviour and prevent further tension between residents and those causing issues.

Upcoming Events

Community Meeting - St Michaels

Officers from the Neighbourhood Policing Team will be holding a community event in St Michaels to talk with local residents.
We encourage anyone living in the area to come along, meet your local officers, and share any concerns or ideas you may have. These events are a great opportunity to strengthen community relationships and work together to keep our neighbourhoods safe and welcoming.
We look forward to seeing you there.
