Current Priorities
Issue
Shoplifting
Action
We are continuing to carry out daily high-visibility patrols in response to concerns raised in the area. Officers are regularly engaging with local businesses to offer reassurance, gather intelligence, and provide crime prevention advice.
With the recent introduction of the DISC system in Rother, local shops and businesses now have the ability to share real-time information about incidents and individuals of concern. This platform enhances communication between businesses and the police, helping to identify repeat offenders and prevent crime through a coordinated, community-led approach.
Issue
Off road motorbikes / Anti-social driving
Action
Targeted patrols are being increased in affected areas, and we are using intelligence-led policing to identify those responsible. Where offences are identified, we will take robust enforcement action to ensure public safety is protected.
We remain committed to working with our partners and the local community to address this behaviour and help make our roads safer.
Issue
Drug Related Activity
Action
We continue to take robust action against drug-related crime through regular patrols, intelligence-led operations, and targeted enforcement. Arrests are being made as part of our ongoing efforts to disrupt supply chains and hold offenders accountable.
Alongside enforcement, we’re working closely with partner agencies to reduce harm, support vulnerable individuals, and raise awareness of available support services. Our focus remains on prevention, safeguarding, and protecting the community from the impact of drug-related activity.
