Current Priorities

Issue

Preventing criminality within the airport and maintaining a safe environment for passengers, visitors and staff.

Action

We will carry out regular surveillance patrols and use technology to prevent crime and keep passengers, visitors and staff safe from criminals. We will investigate and arrest people who plan or carry out criminal activity at the airport.

To do so, we will work with private security staff and other agencies as a seamless team, forging an open line of communication and building strong relationships between the Gatwick family at all levels with a one team approach.

Issue

Our officers and staff to be visible, approachable and contactable in the main public areas of the airport, both inside and outside terminals, during all airport hours.

Action

We will patrol in and around the airport to meet with and speak to staff and passengers. We will hold meetings to discuss their concerns, provide reassurance and receive intel.

Issue

Create a hostile environment for Terrorism.

Action

Project Servator aims to disrupt a range of criminal activity, including terrorism, while providing a reassuring presence for the public. We specially train officers to spot the tell-tale signs that someone is planning or preparing to commit an act of crime. Our experienced officers will apply their skills on frequent counter terrorism patrols. Search for Project Servator on our website for more information.

Issue

Preventing incidents arising from disruptive passengers at the airport.

Action

We will act quickly and decisively for all reports of individuals and groups who cause or threaten harm, disturbance and fear at the airport. We aim to provide reassurance to users of the airport in the way we do so.

Upcoming Events

Patrol

Due to focusing on Airport Policing we do not hold meetings at specific times. However, visitors to the airport will regularly see the team on patrol. Please come and speak to us if you have any issues or questions, or just want to say Hi!
