Current Priorities

Issue

Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB)

Action

The Neighbourhood Policing Team continues to carryout regular patrols, focusing on areas where reports of ASB have been made, in particular around Swanfield Park and Portfield.
We work closely with partner agencies including community wardens to tackle this type of behaviour, identify those responsible, and manage persistent offenders and locations. We also continue to carry out intervention work with local schools and youth groups through our dedicated youth officers, to divert any young people who may be involved away from this pattern of behaviour.

Issue

Illegal/antisocial use of electric scrambler bikes

Action

Patrols will continue to tackle illegal use of these bikes particularly along access routes in and out of the city. Ongoing work to increase awareness around the illegal use of these bikes/e-scooters is taking place and intelligence gathering to identify and disrupt those individuals’ using bikes in the commission of crime continues.

Issue

Retail Crime

Action

The Neighbourhood Policing Team will continue to target persistent offenders and engage with partner agencies and local businesses in order to offer reassurance, support and crime prevention advice. High visibility patrols will continue in locations of concern particularly at times of seasonal demand.
We have issued a number of Community Protection Warnings (CPWs), Community Protection Notices (CPNs) and Criminal Behaviour Orders (CBOs) to individuals who continue to offend.
