Operated by: Thames Valley Police
https://www.thamesvalley.police.ukEvery neighbourhood in Thames Valley has a dedicated Neighbourhood Policing team.
Neighbourhood Policing teams can be contacted via 101, the Thames Valley Police non-emergency number. Always call 999 in an emergency.
Neighbourhood Policing teams…- Are led by senior police officers and include police community support officers (PCSOs), often together with volunteer police officers, volunteers and partners.
- May serve one or several neighbourhoods.
- Work with local people and partners to identify, tackle and prevent local, low-level crime, anti-social behaviour, and any ongoing concerns.
- Provide you with a visible, accessible and accountable police service and aim to make your neighbourhood safer.
- Have been present in every Thames Valley neighbourhood since 1 April 2008.
- Focus all of their efforts on their dedicated neighbourhoods, building relationships with local people.
- Needs you to tell us about the issues that concern you in your area.
- Has transformed policing at a local level, to meet the needs of local communities.
- Is known as ‘Safer Neighbourhoods’ in Milton Keynes.
From the start of 2010, Thames Valley Police extended its neighbourhood consultation by introducing a wider range of publicised opportunities to meet neighbourhood teams.
We will provide open monthly meetings to allow the public to influence our priorities. These meetings will be branded as Have Your Say opportunities, and in many cases will be held in conjunction with partners.
Once local priorities have been identified, a broader ‘toolkit’ of problem-solving tactics is being made available to ensure crime and anti-social behaviour is tackled effectively.
Across the Thames Valley area, there are many successful Neighbourhood Action Groups which will continue to deliver local problem solving, but the introduction of Have Your Say meetings will allow neighbourhood teams to identify more quickly those specific local priorities that need attention.
Thames Valley Police views the introduction of Have Your Say meetings as a positive step in tackling issues that matter most to the public. I welcome your support and engagement in this endeavour.

Current Priorities
Issue
Anti social behaviour in Maidenhead high street involving E-bikes, Scooters and Youths loitering
Action
Thames Valley Police have responded to public concerns regarding anti-social behaviour (ASB) and the illegal use of e-bikes and e-scooters within Maidenhead town centre. In direct response to these concerns, targeted operations were conducted on the 20th and 22nd of August.
During these operations, multiple e-scooters and e-bikes were seized due to offences including riding without valid insurance. Several individuals were issued fixed penalty notices, and further enforcement action is being considered where appropriate.
In addition, suspects involved in incidents of ASB and criminal damage in the town centre have been identified and arrested. These proactive measures form part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the community.
Thames Valley Police will continue to maintain a visible presence in the town centre and work closely with partners to address these issues.
Issue
Burglary of shops and properties in the immediate area of the town centre.
Action
On 27th August, officers from the Neighbourhood Policing Team at Maidenhead Central conducted a "Have Your Say" engagement stand in Maidenhead town centre. During the operation, officers proactively engaged with members of the public and visited multiple local businesses to offer support, listen to concerns, and provide tailored advice on issues raised. This initiative forms part of our ongoing commitment to community engagement and partnership working with local stakeholders.
As a result of increased proactive patrols conducted by Police Constables and Police Community Support Officers in the area, multiple offenders have been successfully identified, arrested, and charged. These outcomes reflect the continued commitment of Maidenhead Central NHPT to maintaining public safety and tackling crime through visible policing and community engagement.
Issue
Vehicle and bicycle thefts around Maidenhead train station
Action
Officers from the Maidenhead Central Neighbourhood Policing Team have been conducting regular patrols in the town centre, working in close partnership with other agencies to tackle the issue of bicycle theft.
Through collaborative efforts with local CCTV operators and partner organisations, several suspects have been successfully identified in connection with recent thefts. Investigations are ongoing, and appropriate action is being taken to hold those responsible to account.
Thames Valley Police remain committed to reducing crime and improving public safety through proactive policing and partnership working.
