Operated by: Thames Valley Police
https://www.thamesvalley.police.ukEvery neighbourhood in Thames Valley has a dedicated Neighbourhood Policing team.
Neighbourhood Policing teams can be contacted via 101, the Thames Valley Police non-emergency number. Always call 999 in an emergency.
Neighbourhood Policing teams…- Are led by senior police officers and include police community support officers (PCSOs), often together with volunteer police officers, volunteers and partners.
- May serve one or several neighbourhoods.
- Work with local people and partners to identify, tackle and prevent local, low-level crime, anti-social behaviour, and any ongoing concerns.
- Provide you with a visible, accessible and accountable police service and aim to make your neighbourhood safer.
- Have been present in every Thames Valley neighbourhood since 1 April 2008.
- Focus all of their efforts on their dedicated neighbourhoods, building relationships with local people.
- Needs you to tell us about the issues that concern you in your area.
- Has transformed policing at a local level, to meet the needs of local communities.
- Is known as ‘Safer Neighbourhoods’ in Milton Keynes.
From the start of 2010, Thames Valley Police extended its neighbourhood consultation by introducing a wider range of publicised opportunities to meet neighbourhood teams.
We will provide open monthly meetings to allow the public to influence our priorities. These meetings will be branded as Have Your Say opportunities, and in many cases will be held in conjunction with partners.
Once local priorities have been identified, a broader ‘toolkit’ of problem-solving tactics is being made available to ensure crime and anti-social behaviour is tackled effectively.
Across the Thames Valley area, there are many successful Neighbourhood Action Groups which will continue to deliver local problem solving, but the introduction of Have Your Say meetings will allow neighbourhood teams to identify more quickly those specific local priorities that need attention.
Thames Valley Police views the introduction of Have Your Say meetings as a positive step in tackling issues that matter most to the public. I welcome your support and engagement in this endeavour.

Current Priorities
Issue
1. Theft from a shop-Co-op Great Linford. The shop is experiencing a high level of shoplifting incidents. These are being committed by a small number of prolific offenders.
Action
1.Thefts reported by the CO-OP in Great Linford have significantly reduced. The pro-active and enforcement work carried out by the Neighbourhood Policing Team and the Op Purchase Retail Crime Team has targeted prolific offenders resulting in prison sentences. Through working with the CO-OP, they have now employed a security guard at the store which is assisting further in preventing offending.
Issue
2. Anti social behaviour and drug related offences, in Conniburrow. Affecting the alleyway behind Bryony Place, the overbridge between Lloyds Court and Cranesbill Place.
Action
2.The Neighbourhood Policing Team have been working with Milton Keynes County Council to target a premises in Conniburrow regularly used to supply and use drugs. Following the issue of a Closure Order, the premises is now subject to court proceedings seeking permanent possession. We have also worked with the Parish Council to share information in relation to drug dealing activity, and discussions are currently in place around the redeployment of crimewave CCTV camera’s which will give us greater coverage of problem areas.
Issue
Misuse of Trail Bikes-affecting Great Linford, impacting the area around St Ledger Court.
Action
The Neighbourhood Team will continue to conduct high visibility patrols in the affected areas. They will also be engaging with Parish staff and stopping and engaging with members of the public, the Neighbourhood Police Team will also work to Identify the owners of the motorcycles. Working in partnership with the local parish we have increased CCTV coverage and as a result we have seen a reduction in incidents. This will continue to be monitored. Roads Policing have targeted offenders as part of OP Chromium which is the operation to deal with illegal car/bike street racing. A range of enforcement legislation is being used to seize vehicles and prosecute offenders. Illegal use of E scooters is being specifically targeted with seizures taking place.
