Operated by: Thames Valley Police
https://www.thamesvalley.police.ukEvery neighbourhood in Thames Valley has a dedicated Neighbourhood Policing team.
Neighbourhood Policing teams can be contacted via 101, the Thames Valley Police non-emergency number. Always call 999 in an emergency.
Neighbourhood Policing teams…- Are led by senior police officers and include police community support officers (PCSOs), often together with volunteer police officers, volunteers and partners.
- May serve one or several neighbourhoods.
- Work with local people and partners to identify, tackle and prevent local, low-level crime, anti-social behaviour, and any ongoing concerns.
- Provide you with a visible, accessible and accountable police service and aim to make your neighbourhood safer.
- Have been present in every Thames Valley neighbourhood since 1 April 2008.
- Focus all of their efforts on their dedicated neighbourhoods, building relationships with local people.
- Needs you to tell us about the issues that concern you in your area.
- Has transformed policing at a local level, to meet the needs of local communities.
- Is known as ‘Safer Neighbourhoods’ in Milton Keynes.
From the start of 2010, Thames Valley Police extended its neighbourhood consultation by introducing a wider range of publicised opportunities to meet neighbourhood teams.
We will provide open monthly meetings to allow the public to influence our priorities. These meetings will be branded as Have Your Say opportunities, and in many cases will be held in conjunction with partners.
Once local priorities have been identified, a broader ‘toolkit’ of problem-solving tactics is being made available to ensure crime and anti-social behaviour is tackled effectively.
Across the Thames Valley area, there are many successful Neighbourhood Action Groups which will continue to deliver local problem solving, but the introduction of Have Your Say meetings will allow neighbourhood teams to identify more quickly those specific local priorities that need attention.
Thames Valley Police views the introduction of Have Your Say meetings as a positive step in tackling issues that matter most to the public. I welcome your support and engagement in this endeavour.

Current Priorities
Issue
Unauthorised use of e-scooters is becoming a widespread issue in Langley. Since e-scooters cannot be insured, they are not permitted for use on public roads. Additionally, reckless riding of mopeds, motorbikes, and quad bikes is causing safety concerns, as offenders are often seen speeding through parks, pavements, and roads without helmets, sometimes wearing balaclavas. Addressing these risks is crucial to ensure public safety and prevent potential accidents.
Action
Police have gathered evidence of a youth riding an off-road bike on the pavement. The individual has been identified and interviewed under caution, and the case has been referred to the youth justice team for further action.
The police have been out with the drone team to try to locate these vehicles from the air.
We continue to seize e-scooters and work with our off road bike team to tackle this anti-social behaviour.
Issue
Youths are congregating around the shops on Harrow Market and acting in an anti-social manner by smoking cannabis at lunch time, throwing litter and blocking entrances to shops.
Action
During the half-term break, this issue has not been present. However, with schools reopening, we anticipate its return. The college remains highly supportive of the local community and is committed to addressing the matter seriously.
We will request that students are spoken to and that staff actively monitor their activities during lunchtime. Police have already conducted several plain-clothes operations around the college during lunch hours and will continue these efforts.
Additionally, we will be holding a meeting with shop owners in Harrow Market, providing them an opportunity to share their concerns with the police regarding any ongoing issues
Issue
We are receiving complaints of blatant drug dealing on and around Cheviot Road
Action
A man and a woman were recently arrested on suspicion of possessing class B drugs with intent to supply on Cheviot Road. Both individuals are currently on police bail as the investigation continues.
Police are collaborating with Slough Borough Council to address concerns about a property suspected of involvement in drug supply. Additionally, a survey has been distributed to local residents to gather more information about drug-related activities in the area.
Officers will maintain both uniformed and plain-clothes patrols to ensure ongoing vigilance.
