Current Priorities
Issue
To tackle retail crime in the 3 major retail parks in Tyburn (Ravenside/Castle Vale/The Fort) by working with partners to target prolific offenders, create and implement a crime prevention strategy and restore trust and confidence in the police.
Action
The police are proactively patrolling the shopping area at times when offending is taking place. Police are also dealing with prolific shoplifters robustly, ensuring they are put before the courts.
Issue
Deal with persistent Anti-Social Behaviour from repeat offenders through work with Birmingham City Council and other partner agencies, and agree enforcement strategies on those who persist in affecting the daily lives of the public negatively
Action
Our team have been proactively patrolling any areas where regular Anti-social behaviour has been occurring and engaging with those individuals, using diversionary pathways where possible.
Issue
To work with Road Safety partners within West Midlands Police and outside agencies to promote safer roads in Tyburn, especially around schools.
Action
Police have been patrolling key area and dealing with motorists who are committing traffic offences. Police have seized number of vehicles in order to ensure our roads are safer. We have been conducting regular patrol around schools during drop off and pick up times, to monitor manner of driving and parking issues.
