Issue

Ongoing dangerous parking on Hall Green parade which includes double parking, obstructing bus lanes and parking on zig-zags

Action

Officers engaged in educating road users along with joint enforcement operations with the local council.

Issue

There has been an increase in complaints from local residents regarding speeding on roads in Hall Green. A number of roads have been highlighted including the Stratford Road.

Action

Local speed operations and joint working with our Road Harm Prevention team.
Our latest joint operation took place on 21st March 2025 where vehicles were reported for numerous offences including speeding, illegal tints/number plates and no road tax.
We conducted 14 speed operations during the month of March as part of our community priority.

Issue

Along with a number of different schools on the Hall Green area, Reddings Lane and surrounding roads is having an issue with dangerous parking during school opening and closing times. This is a particular issue at this location due to three schools being in very close proximity.

Action

Local neighbourhood team attending at peak times in order to deter and ticket offending vehicles. Joint operations with the Road Harm Prevention team. The neighbourhood team are also involved in joint partnership working with the local council, schools and Better Streets for Birmingham to identify a long term solution.

Issue

Following a monthly poll via Twitter, the community have asked that the team focus on parking/traffic offences as one of their priorities for the month of May

Action

Officers have conducted joint patrols with civil enforcement officers in Hall Green tackling parking in the month of April.

Independently the team have issued over 70 tickets at present for the month.

Issue

The community inform us they would appreciate more ways to hear some of the work taking place by the local neighbourhood team.

Action

We release regular updates via our WMNOW messaging system.

We produce a monthly newsletter which is provided to our key partners to help publicise the work taking place.

We ensure we regularly post updates on X (formerly Twitter).

We are committed to regular drop-in sessions with local officers.
