Current Priorities

Issue

Combat Anti-social behaviour within Sutton Four Oaks, particularly within Sutton Park, through working with partner agencies including Birmingham City Council to address repeat ASB issues and utilise enforcement action on prolific offenders where appropriate

Action

Problem areas such as Sutton park are patrolled both on foot and by vehicle to provide reassurance and a visible presence to the public. If needed we work alongside the park rangers and conduct operations with the off road bike team to target hot spot areas and issues.

We are pleased to say that we have not had many reports of ASB within Sutton Park this Summer although we are still aware of some issues with off-road bikes which we will continue to tackle using specialist resources where possible.

Issue

Ensure residents of Sutton Four Oaks feel safe and reassured in their lives by providing regular contact with their Neighbourhood Team and having officers be as visible as possible where needed.

Action

Police surgeries are often held at different times and locations to provide a range of opportunities for members of the public to engage with the local neighbourhood team. Here they can raise any issues of concern and be provided with crime prevention advice and tools, as well as doing this the team also attend community events at locations such as schools to interact with the community.

Issue

Tackle retail crime around Four Oaks, particularly within Mere Green. Work with business partners to identify repeat and prolific offenders and bring them to justice.

Action

The team are continuing to conduct high visibility patrols around problem areas for example Mere Green and utilising police systems such as facial recognition to try and ID suspects.
