Current Priorities

Issue

Ensure residents of Sutton New Hall feel safe and reassured in their lives by providing regular contact with their Neighbourhood Team and having officers be as visible as possible where needed.

Action

The team regularly hold police surgeries in the local community alongside local councillors where members of the public can attend and raise any concerns they have.We also have our local PCSO out on foot patrol around the local area so members of the public can stop and speak with them about any concerns.

We also send out information to the local community through our WMNOW system, this informs residents of meetings, good news and what the local team has been doing in the area

Issue

Combat Anti-social behaviour within Sutton New Hall through working with partner agencies including Birmingham City Council to address repeat ASB issues and utilise enforcement action on prolific offenders where appropriate

Action

Thanks to the hard work of the team the amount of logs and demand coming in has significantly reduced. Local PCSO's and officers will continue to provide high visibility presence to these areas such as Wylde Green to monitor the issues and keep them from escalating.

Issue

Identify and bring to justice repeat offenders to business and residents of Sutton New Hall, particularly where they are having a substantial effect on the safety of the community

Action

We frequently use our police systems such as facial recognition to try ID suspects for burglary and shoplifting offences. We also circulate the images internally to try and obtain an ID for offenders, if there are no matches via facial recognition. The team are continuing to conduct reassurance visits to victims of burglaries and attempted burglaries and be a visible presence in the local area for businesses.
