Issue
Robbery is a key priority for our local officers, and ensuring that the City Centre is a safe environment for everyone motivates them.
Action
Local officers including our Op Taurus Team are actively engaged in a number of overt and covert policing operations.
Utilising such skills as Servator; and working under the operation name ICEFORGE. They deploy on a daily basis in key locations.
We are further supported by our colleagues from the CID Robbery Team who are key stakeholders to ensure that our operational activities are driven through the criminal justice processes achieving the best outcome for the public.

Issue
Community members, businesses and key-stake holders have all reported on-going concerns in relation to Anti-Social Behaviour linked to the street community. Anti-Social Behaviour has many forms in the City Centre; from street drinking, drug use, homelessness, illegal use of e-bikes, illegal street vendors and begging.
It has been agreed at the Partner Action Group this will be the main priority for Birmingham City Centre partners to tackle.
Action
Operation Oceanlight and Operation Galanthus are two multi-agency operations in place to focus of reducing ASB linked, in the City Centre, linked to the street community.
The are several strands to the operations involving multi-agency patrols on a daily basis, in targeted areas, an increase in the use of civil injunctions and exercising powers under PSPO legislation.
WMP, Birmingham City Council and other key partners will work closely with support workers to ensure the street community are supported, where appropriate.
Issue
E-Bike and E-Scooter use in the City Centre puts the public at harm due to the excessive speeds and dangerous riding.
Partners and local businesses have reported the increasing use of E-bikes and E-Scooters in heavily pedestrianised areas is putting members of the public at risk of harm.
Action
Operation Frislen has been launched to address this issue.
Together with partners, we will be carrying out two education days where we will look to educate E-bike and E-scooter users in relation to the use and public safety.
This will be followed by several enforcement days where we will seize illegal bikes and prosecute riders who contravene legislation.
This work is ongoing.
