Issue
Retail theft at Gallagher Retail park.
Team will be conducting regular patrols around all shops in provide increased security for businesses and customers, ensuring a safe shopping experience for all.
To identify and apprehend individuals or groups responsible for thefts in the area.
Retailers and shoppers are encouraged to report suspicious behaviour and assist in the effort to maintain a secure environment .
Action
-Arrests of key offenders continue, with evidence being gathered to support Criminal Behaviour Orders (CBO) applications.
-Regular engagement with Store security to share intelligence and identify prolific offenders.
-High visibility patrols to deter offending and reassure staff and customers.
-Joint operations with plain clothed officers to catch offenders in the act.
-Partnership work with the offender management services to support the rehabilitation of repeat offenders.
We remain committed to reducing business crime and improving safety in our retail areas.
Operation advance conducted on 19th August at Gallagher retail, large Police presence, local officers continue to patrol on a daily basis resulting in numerous arrests,
Issue
ASB and offences occurring in Edgwick Park, continuing as priority for the ward.
These patrols will continue as part of ongoing efforts to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all park users.
The community is encouraged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
Action
Throughout July, officers have maintained a visible presence in Edgwick park as part of our commitment to public safety and crime prevention. Activity has included:
-High visibility patrols and targeted reassurance to families and park users.
-Weapon sweeps using metal detectors, with checks for discarded or concealed items.
-Enforcement of the Public Space Protection Order (PSPO), particularly for alcohol related breaches.
-Engagement with Large groups of youths, leading to several stop searches.
-Ongoing intelligence gathering in relation to suspected drug activity.
These efforts aim to deter anti-social behaviour and ensure the parks remains a safe environment for the whole community.
Operation conducted 07/08 in park, several males arrested for drugs offences , with conditions not to be in the park . Operations will continue over the next couple of months, to ensure the park is safe for everyone
further operations have been conducted in the park over the last month resulting in numerous stop searches and arrests ( including those for drug offences ) . Several suspects have been bailed with conditions not to be in the park. Local officers are continuing to conduct patrols and weapon sweep the park. ASB and disorderly behaviour will be not be tolerated in Public open spaces .
Issue
Residents have raised concerns about illegal parking and speeding, both of which pose serious risks to safety and cause daily disruption to local people.
Action
-Joint operations with the Council to enforce parking restrictions, including action on vehicles parked illegally or blocking the highway.
-Requests for removal of obstructive vehicles where necessary
-Targeted speed enforcement in hotspot areas
-Engagement with drivers to raise awareness and promote responsible behaviour.
We are committed to keeping our roads safe and accessible for all .

10 x DVSA prohibitions
1 x DVSA prosecution/further investigation due to no operator’s licence, no driver records, tachograph not calibrated.
2 x Taxi day compliance notices
Local officers continue to work with council in issuing tickets/reporting on vehicles parked dangerously/illegally
