Issue
Tackling Anti Social behaviour and feelings of safety
Action
We have been able to identify a number of individuals from CCTV of individuals who have caused ASB in the locality. We will now be working with NEC to identify the best course of action to ensure the behaviour does not persist.
Update 14/8/24- We are aware that there has been a sharp rise in anti social behaviour during the summer holidays. We have been working with partners to deal with this at the time and vie retrospective investigation. If you see anti social behaviour please report it as soon as possible.

Taking robust action to tackle vehicle crime
Action
Vehicle crime continues to persist in the area. The team will continue to patrol for vehicle crime and have set up a number of car park watches during times of key events. Our CID team have identified a number of offenders who have been arrested and charged and will be going through the court process to bring them to justice.
Update 14/8/25- Due to the positive work conducted by the NEC and the airport, we have continued to have a number of positive results when tackling vehicle crime in this area. Please remain vigilant. Officers will continue to patrol the area at key times to tackle vehicle crime offences.
Issue
Hot spot for business crime and theft related offences
Action
Our CID team have identified a male responsible who had committed a burglary at one of the hotels near to the campus which has resulted in the offender being arrested and charged with Burglary. The local neighbourhood team will continue to patrol the area as well as receiving further support during times of key event. Officers will launching a new meeting where you can meet your dedicated officer.
Update 14/8/24- We are now implementing our town centre plans where we will place greater emphasis on arresting suspects for shop theft and putting them through the justice system as a priority. We will be asking for your support by helping to provide evidence and CCTV which will allow us to arrest offenders promptly and bringing them to justice.
