•Catch and take Positive actions on anyone taking/dealing drugs
•Work with intelligence and community in key locations
•High Visibility patrols in key location for drug dealing
•High Visibility patrols in retail areas where offenders target to fund their habit
•Plain Clothes Patrols
•Working with local support agencies in offering and maximising support for Drug Misuse (Cranstoun)
•Designated Neighbourhood Officer Identified for each ward
Results:
•Plain cloths operations resulting in the stop search and arrest of approximately 10+ people. These arrests are from several incidents across various days.
•Arrest, charge and conviction of multiple offenders linked to retail crime which funds their drug dealing
•Referrals to Cranstouns for multiple offenders arrested for crimes linked to drugs use
•Various events in the community to engage with communities and allow them to raise concerns
•Meetings with key retailers to support the arrest of retail criminals
