September 2025 YouSaidWeDid
Following some tremendous work by police and partners, we are happy to feedback that issues in and around Shearwater Road have improved.
Over the last couple of months we have carried out a number of intervention and prevention tactics to identify those involved and address their behaviour. This has also included working in partnership with local authority and housing associations and we would like to thank them for their efforts.
We have carried out letter drops with Walsall council community protection officers to provide local residents with information on how to report incidents and to make people aware that police are aware of issues and are now working to tackling it.
We have provided police drop-in sessions to give residents an opportunity to speak to police and have carried out a number of targeted patrols in the area.
Our local authority colleagues have worked with us and arranged for CCTV to be installed as a temporary measure.
Local officers have also identified some of the people causing issues and both they and their parents have been visited and advised about their behaviour.
This has all contributed to no further reports being received and we have also received some positive feedback from residents who have also noticed the improvements.
