Tackling shop theft in key retail areas around Bloxwich High Street

High visibility patrols by the neighbourhood at local retail premises have had a positive impact on community safety. These proactive patrols have increased police presence and visibility in key shopping areas, acting as a deterrent to criminal activity. As a result, there has been a noticeable reduction in incidents in regards to shoplifting.

Tackling Anti-Social Behaviour on the High Street and other key areas such as parks and green spaces.

We are prioritising to deter anti social behaviour on the Bloxwich high street, particularly incidents involving groups of youths causing disruptions and riding bicycles in a dangerous or intimidating manner. This behaviour affects the safety and comfort of local residents, businesses, and visitors. We will increase visibility through patrols, engage with local youth services such as the recent one who opened in Market Place where we will be attending and work with community partners to promote responsible behaviour.

Rough sleeping and Begging in the High Street area

Our Bloxwich Neighbourhood team regularly monitors roguh sleeping and begging on the Bloxwich High Street. No recent issues or concerns have been reported by residents or businesses. Anyone in need is referred to Walsall Councils outreach services for support.
