Issue

Policing Priority. Reducing and preventing incidents of shop theft in Aldridge Shopping Centre and surrounding High Street area. Taking positive action against anyone intent on committing crime in the town. Providing local retailers and businesses with reassurance and advice to help their staff safe.

Action

We have carried out a number of patrols in Aldridge High Street and spoken to local shop staff and businesses. We have been liaising with management at Aldridge Shopping Centre and ensuring we are taking every opportunity to secure CCTV and other evidence in order to take action against any offenders.
update.a number of offenders targeting stores around the aldridge area have been arrested within the last week in relation to shop thefts.
16/08/2025. At present, there have been no further arrests but the patrols will continue going forward regarding shop thefts.

Issue

Policing Priority.
Incidents of ASB in the area of Robson Close & Lindon Road area with groups of youths causing a nuisance near the bus stop at this location from 3.15pm and onwards.

Action

Following reports of ASB in the area, we will be targeting our patrols during these times. We are also working with our Safer Travel Team who will be carrying out patrols. We are also working with the local schools to identify those involved. We will be working with Walsall Council and requesting footage following any related incidents.
update. patrols have been conducted in and around the location. as the summer holidays are upon us,this issue will reduce going forward with continued targeted patrols. any youths seen will be engaged with and if seen to be causing issues,dealt with accordingly.

16/08/25 - Prior to the summer holidays, officers have patrolled this location and liaised with transport for west midlands so that they conduct their own patrols on and off public transport in this area and the bus stop location.
The issues reduced and we did not receive further calls leading up to the end of half term. We also liaised with the local schools for support should we have needed to speak to young people. As it is now the summer holidays, but aware of the return to school in September, we will be keeping focus on this location.

Issue

Policing Priority
Drug related ASB taking place in the area of Anchor Parade including the multi storey car park in the evenings.

Action

We have increased our patrols in the area of Anchor Parade, the nearby multi-storey car park and Aldridge Croft following suspicious activity in the area. Patrols will continue and we will take positive action against anyone found to be engaged in ASB or drug related activity.

16/08/2025 - the centre management have told the local NHT that they will adjust the settings of the cctv camera,s to concentrate on the area where the alleged issue are taking place. patrols will continue around the area concerned.

Issue

Speeding and racing along the Queslett Road.

Action

Liaise with local council about any measures they can put in place and liaise with our Road Harm Prevention Team and CCTV speed van team.
NPT to carry out patrols around the area and provide a presence to help reduce the risk.
