Issue
Ettingshall South & Springvale – Both police and the local authority are receiving reports of speeding (Birmingham New Road and Black Country Route).
Action
The Neighbourhood team are liaising with, and supporting the force wide strategy with regards to this issue, known as Operation Hercules.
The neighbourhood team are in receipt of weekly briefings to inform and plan their patrols in order to contribute to the management of this problematic behaviour.
During the month of April there was a reduction in calls for service with regards to this issue and there were no organised meets within our wards that we were made aware of.
The team encourage the community to report any incidents of speeding or organised meets.
Issue
Adelaide Park- ASB with youths hanging around the area on evenings and weekend.
Action
This open space continues to be a gathering point for local young people. Over the last few weeks, there have not been any incidents of note. However, the park will continue to be a place of focus, particularly as the nights get lighter and the weather improves. The team encourage the community to report any ASB they are experiencing or witnessing.
Issue
Both police and the local authority have received reports of shop theft, drug dealing and anti social behaviour.
Action
Local officers have continued to use their stop and search powers during the month of April. There have been regular patrols in the area, which will continue throughout May.
The team work closely with the local authority to try to tackle these issues.
