We Did: 

• Increased tasking in key areas by both PC’s and PCSO’s through specific targeted patrols based on demand and public use.
   
• Use of joint patrols using neighbourhood wardens, street cleansing, travel hubs, ASB officers and licensing setting the tone for the city as a safer place.
   
• Partnership working with Homeless Outreach Partnership and safer spaces to assist homeless people to arrange housing and rehabilitation.
   
• Take positive action where we can address problems live time and where possible provide conditions to safeguard the public coming to use the city centre. This includes use of the knife pole (Operation Saintburg – 13250193088) and other proactive operations relating to drugs supply and e-bike use.  
   
• Ensure a larger contingency of officers are available for all this work in and around the city centre with the summer surge uplift.

• City Centre Operational Group - Chaired by Police Inspector, six weekly planning for events / threats / hotspots
   

What we will do:  

• Continue the great work with our partners to keep the high level of service for the evening and night-time economy
• Adapt the approach we have as we move into darker nights
• Make use of new public safety technology we have available
• Continue to work towards obtaining Purple Flag Status for the city, by continuing our partnership work
