Current Priorities

Issue

Ward Area - Keighley East

  • To target anti-social vehicle use, speeding and inconsiderate parking across the ward area. We will be increasing patrols in the areas and issuing penalty notices to any vehicle parked causing an obstruction and conduct speed checks.  Working in partnership with our wardens to tackle the issues.

  • To prioritise the violence against women and girls campaign. We will listen to concerns raised by women and girls and create safer spaces in public, private and on-line

Action

Update: July 2025 - No change to existing priorities.

  • The Worth Valley Ward team is actively addressing anti-social behaviour (ASB) through a comprehensive and community-focused approach.

  • The Keighley Neighbourhood Policing Team is actively targeting rural crime to ensure the safety and security of local communities.

Action

No change to current priorities at this time but are subject to regular review.

  • Targeted operations, such as those conducted in collaboration with Operation Steerside, focus on monitoring and enforcing speed limits, particularly in known hotspots. Increased patrols and the use of speed detection technology help deter reckless driving. Additionally, community engagement initiatives aim to raise awareness about the dangers of speeding and encourage residents to report incidents of ASB. By working closely with the local council and traffic officers, Sergeant Adam Boothman and his team are implementing preventive measures to enhance road safety and reduce ASB in these areas.

  • The team is working closely with residents, businesses, and the local council to identify and address key issues. Initiatives include increased patrols in hotspot areas, community engagement events to raise awareness, and the implementation of preventive measures such as improved lighting and surveillance. By fostering strong community relationships and encouraging the reporting of ASB incidents, the Worth Valley Ward team aims to create a safer and more welcoming environment for all residents.

  • Their efforts include increased patrols in rural areas, collaboration with local farmers and residents, and the use of advanced technology to monitor and prevent criminal activities. By focusing on issues such as theft, vandalism, and illegal hunting, the team aims to reduce crime rates and foster a sense of safety and trust within the community. Sergeant Adam Boothman and his team are committed to working closely with local partnerships to develop effective strategies and solutions to combat rural crime.
