Action

Over the past week, officers from the Middleton and Belle Isle Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT), supported by our off-road bike unit, have continued to take firm action against criminality in your communities.

Tackling Drug Dealing:
Several operations led to the arrest of individuals suspected of supplying drugs. In one incident, a male was caught following a foot chase with cannabis, cash, and evidence of supply. Additional cannabis was recovered during follow-up searches. These arrests form part of our ongoing work to disrupt local drug networks.

Anti-Social Vehicle Use:
We’ve identified and targeted prolific offenders using off-road bikes dangerously in the area. As a result, several stolen and illegally modified bikes – including surrons – have been seized. These actions have already made a difference, with no reported robberies in Middleton Park over the weekend for the first time in weeks.

Speeding & Road Safety:
We continue to enforce road safety with vehicle stops across the area. Multiple uninsured and disqualified drivers have been stopped, and their vehicles seized. In one case, a male tried to give false details but was soon identified and will appear in court for disqualified driving.

We are committed to keeping our roads safer, tackling anti-social behaviour, and ensuring Middleton and Belle Isle remain safe places to live and visit. Thank you to all who engaged with us over the weekend – your support makes a difference.

If you have any concerns or information, contact us on 101 or via Crimestoppers.
