ASB and Criminality in public spaces

Action

Officers are working with partner agencies such as Wiltshire Council, the Ministry of Defence and local schools to target anti-social behaviour in public spaces and around business premises. There will be an increased police presence through targeted patrols, as well as pop-up community engagement sessions to allow members of the public to raise their concerns directly to a local officer.

Burglary and Vehicle Crime prevention

Action

Increased community reassurance patrols throughout the area are being conducted, as well as targeted activity and partnership working to combat a recent increase in vehicle crimes & burglaries. Area Boards are a way of working to bring local decision making into the heart of the community. There are 18 Area Boards across Wiltshire, with each one holding delegated powers and devolved budgets to facilitate community action at a local level. Residents and local organisations are encouraged to engage with their local Area Board by contacting their local Councillor or Community Engagement Manager or by attending one of the local business meetings, community events, working groups or activities.
